SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
NWIHSII 2020 IS CANCELLED
We regret to announce that this year’s Northwest Indiana High School Invitational event has been cancelled as a response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are looking to producing something in the spirit of the invitational at a later date.
We’d like to thank all of the schools, students, teachers, and staff working hard over the last few months to provide this special event to the community. We hope to be back in full-form soon.
What Is It?
The Northwest Indiana High School Improv Invitational (NWIHSII) is an annual all-day event where multiple high school are invited to participate in improv workshops and showcases taught and hosted by professional improvisers, teachers, and performers in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland area. All workshops and shows are free-of-charge to the students. At the end of the day, a final performance showcasing all participating schools occurs and is open to the public.
The goal of the Invitational is to raise awareness and encourage participation in productions by using improvisation theatre as a base. The Invitational is hosted by a different participating school every year to foster a stronger sense of inclusion and community.

How Can My School Participate?
If you’re a high school student in the NWI/Chicago-land area and are interested in having a team from your school participate, find a faculty member that would be willing to sponsor you and have them get in touch with us. If you’re a school faculty member and have a team you’d like to submit for consideration in the next Invitational, please contact us here.

When Is The Next NWIHSII ?
Due the COVID-19 outbreak, we have cancelled our NWHSII 2020 event. No plans for the next Invitiational are set at this time.
